Diligence
Once we have found the yacht or
final few selections for viewing
it's important that we perform a
series of checks on your potential
purchase's background.
Where was she built, by whom, who
was the superintendent in charge of
the build, what has her history been
since then, how much did she last
sell for, what is her future value
likely to be, is she in class, what
repairs has she had done recently or
impending. This is before we get
anywhere near putting in an offer or
viewing her.
It's simply another safety mechanism
pre sea trials and survey that saves
expense and may alert us to
potential problems.
Then once we are all happy we can
arrange the viewing trips - either
on your behalf or with you - then we
are ready for the next bit which is
the fun bit - negotiating hard for
you.
